African Child Day Commemoration

CEDC tirelessly sensitizes the Tanzania children on the fighting against abuses. This year on the African child day commemoration, students of Nzuguni primary school were highlighted on the catastrophic. It was the story of the south African students who were killed on 16/6/1976 due to the need quality education and mother tongue being the mode of teaching against apartheid government in South Africa.

CEDC yearly conducts African child commemoration in the communities through Tanzania children in the programme area of Mtumba, Nzuguni, Ihumwa, Ipala and Kikombo wards, in Dodoma region. This year CEDC staff chose Nzuguni A primary school in Nzunguni ward as the event venue. Children raised voice through child rights posters. The year 2021 agenda stated: "Accelerate the implementation of Agenda 2040 for an Africa fit for children." The commemoration went along with provisions of scholastic materials, Child rights songs, arithmetic calculations questions to students and reading the 'Risala' explaining the massacre of Soweto Southern African children death before the participants and Guest of honor. The commemoration events have been lessening the children abuses in the communities.
