We are dedicated to improving the quality and equitable access to education for boys and girls by 2030. We are undertaking this by:

  1. Increasing the proportion of trained teachers using skills acquired to teach reading ,writing and numeracy skills resulting to increased the proportion of children who can read with comprehension by Grade 3, write properly and do simple mathematics (Counting)
  2. Increasing the number of mentored school management committee members who mutually work with teachers to resolve schools academic challenges.
  3. Increasing the number of parents/guardians who actively participate and support their children literacy development.
  4. Strengthening and establishing studying clubs (Eg reading clubs, maths clubs and writing clubs)
  5. Improving the number of children attending after-school literacy activities.
  6. Increasing number of children studying by competitions thus by awarding the winners through exams
  7. Improving schools learning environment
  8. Increasing the number of Out schools aging children enrolment
  9. Decreasing the number of children school drop outs
  10. Increasing the number of children passing national exams

The Problem

The Tanzania government works harder to offer quality education. Despite free primary education for all as it has been engineered by His excellence the President DR John Pombe Magufuli, schools children drop outs, rare enrolments of aging children and low exams pass mark to some schools in national exams continue. The majority of pupils are very afraid of mathematics resulting to failures. The answer is, primary education is questionable on basics and children extensive reading behaviour. Pre-primary education which plays a major role in preparing the 3-6-year-old children for primary education is not a reality in many communities in Tanzania.

Community's Expertise for Development Contributions (CEDC) in liaison with local governments promotes aging children enrolment including the Most Vulnerable Children to pre-primary education. We also equip teachers' skills to teach, writing, reading and maths. Moreover engage communities, parents and guardians in promoting learning outcomes.

The Community's Expertise for Development Contributions (CEDC) was founded in 2018, inspired by a vision accompanied by the main objective where children are the target group and agents of change in the communities they live.
